Right now I'm using a stupid language called GML that is basically an extremely simplified version of Pascal. I am trying to learn C++, because I don't want to be stuck with a simplified language for the rest of my life. I tried programming a very simple program in C++ today, and I just couldn't do it! What is going on? I don't want to be stuck with GML for the rest of my life! How can Iearn C++? I am reading manuals and they're not helping at all!

Hello, since you have an orientation to computer programming, C++ should be a breeze. I am currently learning it, and i can recommend a book for you.
It's called "C++ programming" by D.S. Malik. It includes 'program design including data structures' it is very good book. Good Luck!

Reply:What I did was learn C, and I practiced in Second Life with LSL. It sounds dumb, but it worked wonders for my programming skill...and if a thirteen year old can do it, don't even kid me by saying that you can't. :)
