If you want to enter the IT sector, then learning C is a good thing to start with. But it is not sufficient to make a good project. You may have to learn some other technologies like C++, C#, Java, or website programming using asp.net etc. and sometimes knowledge of Database such as Oracle, Sybase or MS SQL Server is also required..


Now from so many technologies which one you select, depends upon your area of interest whether you want to do system programming. web designing, web programming, animation, network programming..i mean there are so many options..





I am not saying that C is useless. Infact it is the most popular language. But specifically 'C' will be useful for you only if you have good knowledge of Computer Science subjects..


And if you are not from Computer background, then go for learning some other technologies on which you can make good projects (and earn good money too), as i mentioned above also..
